Pastoral Theology

In this course you will study what God says about the Pastor.  Who, why, how, his qualifications, his family, etc., are some of the subjects that will be studied.

This class is based upon the notes from a class taught by Dr. Loys Vess who is now with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  This study is taken chiefly from that class and has been expanded somewhat by Dr. T.E. VanBuskirk, one of Dr. Vess' students.

This is a class from pastors to pastors about pastors as taught by the Lord in His Bible.

    INSTRUCTIONS

Please read these instructions completely before proceeding to the class.

  • Read the textbook, Pastoral Theology.

  • Complete one section of the workbook per week.
    Do not take
more than one section test per week in this subject.
If you fail a test, you may retake the test on or after the next day; but, your next test cannot be taken less than one week after your retake.

  • Submit a BEGIN SIGN-IN form to begin your attendance for this course unless you have done so previously.  You do not sign in when you finish each lesson.  When you have completed the entire course and you are ready for the Final Test, then you will submit a FINISH SIGN-IN form.

  • Download and print the COURSE RECORD FORM.  On it you will keep a record of your sign in "Begin" date because you will be required to enter it on the Sign In "Finish" form that you will submit at the end of the entire course.  You will also keep other pertinent information on that form such as date and score for each test so that you will be able to keep track of your progress through the course.
