Baptist History and Distinctives

This course will give you an understanding of the history of the Baptists.  In it you will gain an understanding of them as the only group extant today that never associated with Rome (meaning the Roman Catholic Church) and, therefore, cannot truthfully be called Protestants.  Because of their refusal to bow to the Catholic dictatorship, you will see their story written in fire and blood exactly as it stained the pages of history.

Textbook: The Trail of Blood by J.M. Carroll
You will read this textbook and complete all tests included in it.

INSTRUCTIONS

The textbook is divided into eight sections. Not more than one section should be completed each week. At the end of each section you will stop and take the Section Test that corresponds with the section you just finished studying. All Section Tests are “open book,” which means you may use your textbook while taking the tests.

Attendance: Suggested attendance for each lesson is 1 week. (Equivalent to 1 hour of study.)
Suggested attendance for the course is 8 weeks.

AFTER COMPLETING A TEST:
If you failed the test then you should restudy that entire section and then retake the test. Repeat this process until you finally pass the test.  You should not go on to the next section until you have passed the test for the current one.  That means that you should not read the entire text and then come back and take all of the tests at once.  You should study one section of the text and then take and pass the test for that section before going on to study the next section.

FINAL TEST
Once you have completed all sections of the textbook and passed all of the corresponding tests, and found the correct answers to any questions missed on any test, then you need to submit a Closed Book Test form to retrieve the Password and, upon receiving the Password, take the Final Test for the course.  Final Test is "closed book".  There is a 20 minute time limit on the test.  You will see a time remaining clock in the upper right hand corner of the test screen.  Time does not start until your first question comes on the screen.

RECORDS:  We do not keep tests, forms, nor any other records for students who are Monitoring Only.  If you wish to record your progress, then you may download and print a copy the COURSE RECORD FORM on which you can keep all information for this course.

You may now proceed to the CLASS.
