Discipleship One

This class is designed to ground you as a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Once you have completed the course, you will be able to disciple the other souls whom God will put in your path.

This course is a required course and a prerequisite to the Discipleship Two course which you will take immediately following this course, assuming that the other requirements are fulfilled to make you eligible to take that course.

    INSTRUCTIONS

  • SIGN-IN first for this course and mark the form "Begin" unless you have done so previously.  You do not sign in when you finish each lesson in the course.  You only do so and mark the form "Finish" when you have completed the entire course and you are ready for the Final Test.

  • Download and print the COURSE RECORD FORM.  On it you will keep a record of your sign in "Begin" date because you will be required to enter it on the Sign In "Finish" form that you will submit at the end of the entire course.  You will also keep other pertinent information on that form such as date and score for each test so that you will be able to keep track of your progress through the course.

  • Read the textbook, Milk of the Word, by Dr. James Wilkins.
The textbook is online and free for student use; but some students have expressed a desire to purchase copies of the textbook for use in their own Church's discipleship program.  This can be done by accessing the information for Dr. Wilkins on the Doner's Page.  To access that page, click the Donors link in the Nav bar to the left or click HERE.

  • Complete all of the exercises incorporated into the textbook and do so according to the time-table required in the textbook.
The textbook is divided into ten sections plus the preliminary material.  The preliminary material is considered one lesson.
The minimum course attendance is 11 weeks.
Minimum Lesson attendance is 1 week per lesson in the book.

Student will earn 1.5 credits for a passing grade.

  • Lesson tests and Final Test: There are no Lesson Tests for this course.  Instead you will complete the exercises in the textbook which are found at the end of each lesson.  After completion of the entire course and your completion of all lesson exercises found in the textbook, then you will return to this page and follow the instructions below to take the Final Test.

  • COURSE RECORD FORM Click the link to download and print this form on which you will keep all pertinent information for the course.  You will need the information later.

  • PASSWORD
After completing the textbook, return to this page and click the PASSWORD RETRIEVAL link at the bottom of this page to retrieve the password for the final test.

  • FINAL TEST
Once you have completed all sections of the textbook and passed all of the corresponding lesson exercises in the textbook and found the correct answers to any questions missed on any of the exercises, then you will return to this page to Retrieve the Password and, upon receiving the Password, take the Final Test for the course.
Once you pass the final test do not take it again.
If you fail the final test then you need to restudy both the textbook and all of the section tests and then retake the final test. Repeat this process until you pass the Final Test.
If you miss any questions on the Final Test, then you need to review the textbook and all of the section tests and find the correct answers to the questions you missed.
