DEGREES
OFFERED
NOTES:
The following are approximate time frames.
Depending on the number of courses a student takes in
1 year the time frame will increase or decrease accordingly.
Students are to scan and submit any transcripts from previous Colleges
or Institutes if they have copies of those transcripts on hand, for pre-
assessment for possible credit transfers. Student will be notified
if credits are transferrable. At that time the student can have
the official copy of the transcript sent to us directly.
All transfer credits from previous educational institutions will
be added to the student's file when we receive an official
transcript directly from the College or Institute.
- GENERAL REQUIREMENT: All students are required to take enough courses from us to earn a minimum of 32 credits in order to earn a degree or a certificate of any level. No student can earn a degree or a certificate based solely on transfer credits or Life Experience credits.
CERTIFICATES:
MINORS:
-
Listed
Minors - We offer minors in
Christian Education, Christian Literature, and Counseling.
In contrast to the free courses that utilize public domain textbooks
or textbooks for which permission from the author has been obtained
for their free use by our students, some of these minors require
studies utilizing textbooks that are not in the public domain or
ones for which the authors have not granted permission for their
free use by our students. The student will have to have access to those textbooks and, therefore, there probably will be a
textbook cost associated with some of those courses unless the student can gain access through other means, such as finding the book at a library. There will be no other cost to the student.
-
Unlisted Minors - If
a student has a desire to have a minor in a field not listed, it may
be possible to earn that minor if the student has enough transfer
credits in that particular field from an approved educational institution. Please check with us to
discuss details concerning any particular minor not in the regular
list.
DOCTORATE PROGRAM:
-
The
comprehensive Doctorate program is being prepared and
will be online by the time our current students reach that level next year (2013).
-
Students
with enough accepted transfer credits can work on and earn
their Doctorate degree through those portions of the
programs already in place. Along with their transfer credits, all students will have to earn at least the required minimum of 32 credits through SLBC and
propose, compose, submit, and have accepted, a thesis of appropriate
size and caliber. Doctoral theses must be of publishing quality.
Thesis requirements and formatting are accessible by clicking HERE.
-
Although you will earn credits for your thesis, those credits cannot be applied toward the minimum 32 credits that must be earned from us. The 32 credits required must be earned through course work.
-
Contact us with your specific needs and
goals and we will try our best to work with you to help you attain
your desired degree.

This will take several months to effect the change-over because it will entail hundreds of hours to facilitate it. When the change-over is completed a general email will be sent out informing students of the completion of the change-over and instructions concerning how to access the new record-keeping system.
