Christian Character - PART THREE
PERSONAL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Studies for Women
(Originally written as a
study in Christian Character
for the Men's Group of Bible Baptist Church in
Taylorsville, Utah and adapted for the
Women's Group at that Church.)
METHOD OF STUDY:
1. Student is required to read the
text,
"Women's Group Bible Studies" by Dr. T.E. VanBuskirk looking up and reading
all scriptures in your Bible that are referenced in the textbook,
whether or not those references are quoted in the lessons; and, complete
the Lesson Tests as you complete each of the Lessons in the textbook.
2. Student may not complete more than one
Lesson per week.
Even one lesson every two weeks is reasonable,
given the depth of the material. However, that is your
choice. The minimum attendance requirement, which you will
input on your Begin Sign In Form, is 1 week per lesson.
3. If any questions are missed on a test, even if the test has a passing score, then the student must restudy that section of the text and find all of the correct answers to the questions missed.
4. There will be a final test at the end of the
course. All tests will be open book.
ATTENDANCE:
Minimum attendance for the course is 16 weeks.
Minimum attendance for each lesson in the course is 1 week.
Course is worth 2 credits.
TESTING:
Make sure you
read and submit the Testing
Instructions form if you have not
already done so.
- Name entry on tests: Students are required to use proper letter-case when inputting their names on all submissions to the college. Example: If your name is John Smith, then input Joanne Smith, not joanne smith or
JOANNE SMITH. If you do not use proper letter-case when
you input your name on a test, then the test will be Disallowed and discarded.
-
You may not take more than
one test in one subject on any one day. That includes retakes of failed tests.
Failed Test If you fail
a test, you may not attempt
that test again on the same day. You must restudy the
textbook/workbook and find all of the correct answers to the
questions missed and then retake the test no sooner than the
next day.
Please sign-in HERE,
if you have not already done so.
Print out a Course Record Form on which to keep all pertinent information for this current course. Access to the form is on the Begin Sign In page. You will then close those pages and return to this page to start this class.
All
students are required to download and use a
Transcript and Grades Form on which to record grades for all
courses. An updated copy of this form is required to be submitted
to SLBC every 6 months; and it is suggested that an updated copy be sent
to the college upon completion of any course. Do not use a new
copy of the form each time, update the one form with new information
pertinent to each course and submit that updated copy to the college.
How to complete this class.
1. Read the textbook and look up all scripture references in your Bible.
2.
As you finish each
Lesson in the textbook, take the
corresponding Lesson test.
Do not go on to study the next
Lesson of the workbook
until you have passed the current Lesson Test and found the
correct answers to any questions missed. You must look up the
answers to any questions missed even if you
passed the test.
3. After finishing all required reading and
passing the Section tests and finding the
correct answers to all questions missed on any test, whether or not
you passed the test, then you will
take the Final Test.

by Dr. VanBuskirk is online for your use.
Textbook is listed below by sections. There are
often more than one lesson in each section of the
