WARNING: If you were accepted as a student AFTER September 19, 2013 you cannot take your tests
from this current site.  You must take all tests, submit all forms, and conduct all other college business
through the SLBC Moodle site at http://slbcrecords.org  The only exception is students that were
specifically approved for a Special Course of Study.  If you are not cleared for a Special Course
of then you are NOT on that program and cannot take your courses from this current site.
If you were accepted as a student after September 19, 2013 and you have not been
accepted for a Special Course of Study, DO NOT take your courses from this 
current site.  If you do, your submissions CANNOT be credited to your file.
Only tests and forms submitted directly from and to the Moodle
site are written to be handled by the automated Moodle system.


Baptist History and Distinctives



         This course will give you an understanding of the history of the Baptists.  In it you will gain an understanding of them as the only group extant today that never associated with Rome (meaning the Roman Catholic Church) and, therefore, cannot truthfully be called Protestants.  Because of their refusal to bow to the Catholic dictatorship, you will see their story written in fire and blood exactly as it stained the pages of history.

 

       Textbook: The Trail of Blood by J.M. Carroll
         You will read this textbook and complete all tests included in it.

         After the last lesson there is a link for ADDITIONAL READING.
         This additional reading must be completed before taking the Final Test.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

   The textbook is divided into eight sections. Not more than one section is to be be completed each week. Ignore any instructions concerning section tests.  They are no longer required.

Attendance: Minimum attendance for each lesson is 1 week.
                    
Minimum attendance for the course is 8 weeks.

                     Student will earn 1 credit for successful completion of this course.

FINAL TEST
- ATTENTION: The Final Test in this course is ACTIVE and is required for all students.  Save a copy of the Results page to submit to SLBC.

Once you have completed all sections of the textbook you will submit a "Finish" Sign In form and then take the Final Test for the course.  Final Test is "closed book" and you must submit the Closed Book Test Contract Form before taking the test. Ignore any instructions concerning a Password.  One is no longer required.  There is a 20 minute time limit on the test.  You will see a time remaining clock in the upper right hand corner of the test screen.  Time does not start until your first question comes on the screen.

Once you have passed the final test, do not take it again.
-  If you fail the final test then you need to restudy the textbook and then retake the final test on or after the next day. Repeat this process until you pass the Final Test.

If you miss any questions on the Final Test, even though you passed it, then you need to review the textbook and find the correct answers in the textbook to the questions you missed.
